Miracle Stories

We love to hear the stories of what God is doing!

Friends in Belgium report that a close friend was hospitalized with severe Lupus and while in hospital had a stroke which left her incoherent and with the Doctor saying she had less than three days to live!   A group of ladies gathered and prayed for her in the evening and the next morning a couple went to pray for her in the hospital.  When they came into the room the friend was not responsive but when they finished their prayer she shocked them by loudly saying, "Amen!"    Although the stroke was noted upon her medical records, subsequent x-rays show no brain damage or evidence of stroke!  Today this lady is back in her home, continuing her normal life and witness to Jesus!  Jesus did a creative miracle in her brain and in her body!

Friends in the US were asked by a not yet Christian who attends their house church to pray for a friend in hospital with less than 10% kidney function.  They prayed and then encouraged  the one who presented the request to go to the hospital and lay hands on her friend.  The lady was a little shocked by the suggestion and said that she could not do such a thing.  But they continued to encourage her to do so and so she did!  She went, laid hands on her friend and prayed for her to be healed in Jesus name.   Her kidney function went back to normal!   Jesus gave her new kidneys!

A few weeks ago we were sitting on a floor in Kazakhstan and listening to testimonies from the saints gathered there.  One lady shared of praying for a neighbor who was dying of congestive heart failure.  The family could not afford medical attention.  After prayer her face went from white with blue lips to rosy normal and she began to perform her normal duties.  Jesus gave her a new heart!

Carole Baerg continues to see wonderful moves of the Holy Spirit where ever she goes!   Recently in Bavaria there were two occasions where she asked for worship in tongues.  On the one occasion a Filipino lady who was against any move of the Holy Spirit was shocked and melted to hear the worship leader sing a song to her heart in her tribal language.  On the other occasion a young man spoke perfect Greek to the delight of a native Greek in the room!  Amongst a move of miracles one which stood out to her was the deliverance of a middle aged man from depression and fear of death which he had walked in his whole life.  He laughed, cried and danced to the amazement of all but especially his wife!  Jesus gave her a new husband!

Thank you to those of you who have prayed for Elena and the team in Central Asia over this season after Yuri's death.  It has been difficult but they are going on!   That raises the question of the tension between the testimonies of healing and the reality of the death of a young leader at 33.  Why was he not healed?   Hebrews 11 speaks of those who "through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions" and also speaks of those who "had trial of mockings, scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment....  being destitute, afflicted, tormented....  all these having obtained a good testimony through faith did NOT receive the promise."  

Whether faith received the promise or not, it was still faith which pleased God!  Whether they saw deliverance or not, they still died in faith!  Yes, I love healing testimonies!  Yes, we pray in faith!  Yes, it is true that not all are healed!  Yes, it is also true that whether faith receives its promise on this side or not, if it is faith in God, it is faith that pleases God!
